Data Examples
Western Blot | Detection of Human C?Reactive Protein/CRP by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of human kidney tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.5 μg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse/Porcine C?Reactive Protein/CRP Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB1707) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # ). A specific band was detected for C?Reactive Protein/CRP at approximately 25 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using . |

Background: C-Reactive Protein/CRP
CRP is a secreted protein that belongs to the Pentraxin family. It circulates as a non-covalent homopentamer. The CRP concentration in human plasma is highly increased during acute phase response to tissue injury or infection.
